i've been wanting to tell you about my trip to NY. i've barely recovered from that trip and i'm already on another one! This time to Texas. I normally don't seek to travel so much, just about once per month for 7 days or so. It just happened that my September trip and my October trip landed back to back.

My small team (Mike, Bill & I) drove from SC to Mississippi today; about 10 hours. Tomorrow we'll continue on to Waco, Texas where our events begin. Tonight we are staying in the home of the pastor who served in my wedding! Bill Buckley was also Susanna's youth pastor and now serves as chaplain with the MSU football team. It's so nice to stop at a hospitable home and rest in a comfy bed after a full day of driving. We have another 10 hours ahead of us tomorrow.

Tomorrow night we will play a benefit concert for Abundant Hope Ministries (AHM). AHM is run by my pastor, Matt Woodhouse, and serves by building orphanages in Africa, India and other nations. All of the proceeds from the concert will go to helping orphans receive care and experience the love of Jesus.

Sunday my team will serve in morning and evening worship at local churches. The rest of the week is still a matter of prayer. Mike & i really miss our families since we just came back from NY; but we want to be open to what God wants to do. We have some possible opportunities to share in worship throughout the week. It's hard to decide what to do right now, so, we're going to sleep on it!

Someone once told me that sleep is spiritual warfare, and i agree! God gives to His beloved in our sleep. When we awake He is with us. He fights our battles for us and He watches over His word to perform it. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is go to bed! Or, eat a cheeseburger. One of which tasks i have just performed, the other of which i am about to do. Amen and goodnight!
