Hey! I'm about to hit the road and head up to NY for a week of worship. Please pray for my team and me during this time.

I really want to lay hold of the REASON that God is sending us.

I don't believe He is sending us so that i get to fulfill the urge to play my own music, or to impress people, or to put one more event on the calendar, or to become rich and famous.

I think He's sending us for a reason. I'm not sure i entirely understand that reason, but i want it to be fulfilled.

I don't think there is a bible verse that better expresses my heart in going out to share than this one:

"¹¹ For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; ¹² that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine." Romans 1:11-12

Some of the groups we will meet with are old friends of mine. Some are more recent connections. God's Spirit in me longs to see them and impart some spiritual gift to them. Something that will help establish the work that God is already doing among them. I am not to only one with the goods! The groups we will meet with, they have something to GIVE as well! I want to receive from them so that we can ALL be encouraged by each other's faith.

Please pray that my team and I would be faithful to humbly give whatever spiritual gift God has given us for His people in NY. Pray for us that we would humbly receive whatever spiritual gift each group has for us. Pray that we would all be encouraged by the story of faith that Christ is authoring in our lives.
