“It will come about in that day that I will respond,” declares the LORD. “I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth, 22 And the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine and to the oil, And they will respond to Jezreel.” Hosea 2:21-22

God responds and everything responds to God.

"Jezreel" means, "God sows". How cool! God sows His work and word and then He expects a response.

A response, NOT a reaction.

Reactions are automatic, scientific, cold, chemical.

Response is relational, conversational, emotional, spiritual.

The world, the devil, the carnal: they try to get us to REACT to our circumstances; to give in to the natural urges of fear, and self preservation, and man's "wisdom".

God is looking for a response: for us to observe the situation and speak to Him about it. To question Him and look for His heart in the matter. To consider His thoughts and feelings and then respond from a heart of love.

In your current situation, why are you doing what you are doing? How have you arrived at these conclusions? Are you reacting to your circumstance? Or, are you responding to God in the midst of it?
